How do you relieve stress? + Win a Personalized Address Stamp!

Well, the wedding is soon…  less that 2.5 months!  Everything is in place, but I am getting a little stressed.  I think this is to be expected, but I’ve been doing everything I can to keep calm and stress free… this includes long swims in the pool followed by hot baths and a glass of red wine (alas, I’m avoiding my other favorite stress reliever… french fries).  It seems to be working well, but as the wedding gets closer I’m sure I’ll need all the advice I can get.  Today I want to know, how do you relieve stress?  And for your help,  you can win a personalized address stamp from Paper and Post!

My friend started this company, and the stamps are beautiful!  She offered to give one away to one of my lucky readers.

All you have to do is LIKE Paper and Post on Facebook, and then leave a comment here telling me how you de-stress.

Best stress relievers: workout, wine and friends! All 3 could go together! Always keep in mind that there are many things just out of your control. Enjoy every minute of your wedding day and don’t fret the little things that may go wrong!

I love to get in my zen mode by taking a long, hot bath, followed by a glass (or three) of my favorite red wine and some couch cuddling with my fiance :)

Laugh often and remember every day is a gift! Start your day with a great devotional and end it with a great book – takes your thoughts away from the craziness and you sleep better. Your wedding is going to be fabulous!! Love, Rachel

The driving range. Followed by a nice hot foot soak, then reflexology!

Stress is inevitable before your wedding but, it sounds like you are doing the right thing by swimming and taking hot baths. Walking my dogs always makes me feel more clear headed and the most important thing for me is getting a good night sleep.

I am sure many people have told you this but, sometimes when something doesn’t go as planned at a wedding you realize it was a blessing because the wedding turned out even better because of the change.

Good luck staying calm and enjoying this wonderful time in your life!

I would love to have one of these lovely stamps! I think my greatest stress reliever is a hot bath. I also like to un-wind from the day by reading emails, checking Facebook or looking at lovely photos on Pinterest!

    Get outside and get moving.
Eat well – junk food just makes stress worse.
Laugh – watch a funny movie or listen to an old Bill Cosby comedy routine.
Give a hug, even if you don’t feel like one.
Buy some shoes! It doesn’t matter how much you weigh, they always fit!

I’m right there with you… Nothing better than a long swim! The worst is when there is too much stress and not enough time to even think about relieving stress :-((

Stepping away and “stepping away” by going for a walk usually really help me clear my head & come back to the task refocused. When I need to get my mind off of something that is nagging me, therefore stressing me out – especially if there is nothing I can do about it @ the moment (oh so frustrating & therefore much more stressful!), I try to distract myself by reading, watching a movie, tuning into HGTV (since I love to decorate, this channel usually inspires me somehow, design-wise, and then my mind starts planning decor, so I’m not focused on the stress-issue). Same effect by flipping thru a magazine or perusing Pinterest. And I often find a solution to my issue pops into my head, just because I quit focusing on it. Love it when that happens!

Well, my default stress reliever used to be chocolate which could be interchanged / combined with (depending on the severity of the situation) a shopping trip! Now, I am trying to develop better habits and turn to a nice walk, which really does make me feel better in the long run. Something about fresh air and exerting a little energy helps me remember not to sweat the small stuff, and that most things really are the small stuff!

When I am planning something big (like a wedding) I just make lot’s of lists. Nothing relieves stress like checking off all my “to do’s” as I go along and it has the added benefit of keeping me on track – which helps to keep me calm, cool and collected :)

I read my favorite blogs and drink a glad of wine. This is so funny right now because as we speak I am stressed. My daughter is getting married in October and I just finished writing out two large deposit checks. Right now I feel like the budget might be to low and I’m out of wine!

I always enjoy a long walk in the country while listening to music but if they doesnt help I enjoyed long hot bubble baths with a BIG glass of wine!

I like “liked” Paper and Post. I’m now psychically draining away wedding stress, you should be feeling a calmer … wait … wait … right… NOW! Ooops, now I’m less stressed because the world is better when nice folks like y’all are married.
