If you are a regular TPL reader, you know my obsession with Garnish & Gather. I'm a long time subscriber of the food and recipe delivery service, and I believe it's the best one available in Atlanta. I found out about Garnish & Gather at the Peachtree Road Farmers Market one Saturday morning right after Oliver was born. Emily was standing next to a chalk board with the weekly menus, and we struck up a conversation. Since then we've gotten to know each other a little better, and I've become a huge fan of her work and company! Cumin Roasted Pork Chops with Lemon Barley Salad & Kale Pesto
Today's Recipe comes from Nick Melvin, my favorite. Famous on this blog for the Good Luck Soup. These pork chops are amazing, and the kale pesto is out of this world. Jimmy said it was the best pork chop he'd ever eaten, and I agree.

This week's Garnish & Gather meal featured chicken thighs. I was hesitant. Historically I've been more of a white meat girl. Since confessing my love for Top Chef, I'm embarrassed to admit this. Tom Colicchio regularly touts the superiority of dark meat, but I just wasn't there.
Chef Amy Ponzoli changed my mind. Maybe it was the cherry gastrique, or maybe it was the wine, I'm not sure, but for the first time I saw what all the hype was about. The meat was flavorful and cooked perfectly! The flavor combination of the sweet and tart cherry gastrique and the chicken thighs was heaven.
