I have a pretty legit boot obsession. Over the knee, under the knee, ankle, wedge, bootie, motorcycle, cowboy - you name it, I've dabbled. My go to Fall/Winter uniform is an all black outfit with a colorful pair of boots. Part of the obsession is practical. I'm on my feet all day, and I spend a lot of time traipsing through backyards and woods for the perfect shot. For work I prefer flat boots and cowboy boots, for concerts I like Minnetonkas or other moccasin-type boots, and for weekends I like heels. In my mind boots are really the prefect shoe for any outfit, which makes getting dressed so much easier.

This post is dedicated to my stepmother Missy. Her birthday was this weekend, and we celebrated in a big way with Sesame Street live in the afternoon and a surprise party in the evening. I want to give major props to Chef Robert Lupo for providing the most fantastic meal and Pollen for making sure the flowers were perfect! It was a wonderful evening with family and friends celebrating a lady we love so much! Happy Birthday Missy!!

Last week I shot the most beautiful home in Inman Park. It's Listed by the Lowe Baumann Group atBeacham & Company. The homeowners renovated the home, and I love all their choices. The spaces all had wonderful proportions, and the layout made so much sense. The homeowner is an amazing cook, so she put a lot of thought into the kitchen design, and it's comparable to a kitchen in a 1.5 million dollar home.... in fact, it's one of the most beautiful I've seen. The dining room is huge, located right off the kitchen, and comes with a charming fireplace, so it would be the perfect place for a large dinner party. I could envision a party where the guest felt free to linger well into the night.
The 4 fireplaces throughout the home and the handsome ceiling beams gave it a vintage and comfortable vibe. While I was there we had all the fireplaces going, and it felt so homey. I love a fireplace in the master, and fell in love with the bedroom. I also really liked all the finishes in the bathroom (totally neutral, which I preached earlier this week). It will look great for years to come.
Finally, the front porch was oversized and relaxing. Since I'm all about where I could sit and enjoy a glass of wine, I loved it! It would be so much fun to sit out there on a Friday night with a few candles going and watch people walk by. Enjoy the photos, and for more information, please contact the Lowe Baumann Group!
