From time to time readers write me emails asking for advice or my opinion on what to do when they visit Atlanta. I love these emails, and I put a lot of effort and thought into answering them and offering suggestions. Sometimes I hate that the answers do not make it onto the blog, so today I thought I would compile some of my favorite questions into a post. If you ever want to ask me for my advice on anything, please let me know. I have very little expertise, but I LOVE giving advice! ;)
I have a friend coming in town and want to take them on an afternoon of shopping around Buckhead, where should we go?
- Huff Harrington Home - for home goods and gifts
- Baby Braithwait - if you want to motivate yourself to have a baby
- B.D. Jeffries - for books, frames, purses and scarves
- Boxwoods - for anyone who loves plants or home accessories.
What are some of your favorite places to visit on a Saturday afternoon?
- The High Museum offers wonderful exhibits and a break from the heat
- Westside Provisions has the coolest shops, and I can't leave without getting ice cream from Jeni's
- Krog Street Market in Inman Park is my favorite place right now! I love all the food vendors, including Little Tart Bake Shop, Jeni's and Superica (my favorite new Tex-Mex joint).
I am coming in town on business and want to take my colleagues out to a dinner that's fun, but not too pricy. Where should we go?
- I will always recommend Cooks and Soldiers. Don't remember how I feel about it? Read the review here.
- Gunshow
- 1Kept
- Revival (read my review here - I called it Atlanta's Best new restaurant)
- Superica
- Miller Union
Where is your favorite place to grab a pre dinner cocktail?
If you ever have any questions, please shoot me an email! I'm always happy to answer!
