When my mom was pregnant with me all she wanted to eat was cheese burgers. Call me crazy, but I swear that passed directly to me, because a cheese burger with french fries is my # 1 favorite meal. I've debated on this blog about the best burger in Atlanta, but that was before Shake Shack burst onto the scene in Buckhead Atlanta.
I'm a huge fan of the Shake Shack burger, and it's pure luck that it's right across the street from Beacham & Company. My friends from work and I eat there way too much, and it's always delicious.
This Saturday, September 19th, Atlanta's famed Ford Fry is teaming up with Shake Shack's Mark Rosati to offer the Carpetbagger Burger. There will only be 200 burgers available on a first come first serve basis!
Inspired by carpetbagger steak—a classic 1950s dish that works oysters into a hefty cut of steak—the Carpetbagger Burger ($8.50) is a butter-grilled double cheeseburger made with Shake Shack’s 100 percent all-natural Angus beef and topped with smoked and caramelized onions, house-made pickles, Comeback sauce and a crispy fried oyster.
When asked about his goals for the burger, Fry said "when it's a double patty that's cooked all the way, I want to see the texture of the meat and to have a crispness, like that fried beef crunch.. that's the goal." (source) OMG. That sounds AMAZING.
You're welcome.
