My best friend Lindley is having a baby! Last Sunday we gathered to shower her with love and gifts.

We hosted the shower in my house, and I kind of insisted on that because it’s how I show my love. I’m not great at verbally telling people how much I love them, and I’m no good at gifts, but if you need an act of service I’m knocking down your door. It was really such an honor to have everyone over and celebrate the life of my new nephew who should be arriving in February. You’re going to be such a good mom Lindley, and I’m so happy to watch as you become one. If you ever need someone to come help you at 3 am, you know 100% I’m already on the way.

The morning after the shower Quinn didn’t have school, so we spent the a quiet and rainy Monday morning lounging in the aftermath of a party. I always love hosting a party because it’s the only time my house is clean enough for me to notice all the quiet precious details that make it a home.
