Under Contract The First Day!

I recently went to shoot 1665 West Wesley Road for Linda Williams.  (Beacham & Company) I've always loved this house.  My godfather lived there when I was young, and I have vivid memories of eating ice cream and playing in the playroom.  Later, the house belonged to one of my high school friends, and we made our homecoming float in the driveway!  It was also such an iconic house that I drove past every day when I pulled out the back gate of Westminster.  I was excited to see how it looked, especially since Linda is so talented at "fluffing" a house.  The house had a great feeling, and I loved how neutral it was.  Clearly I wasn't the only one since the first people who saw it put it under contract.  Way to go Linda!

About the home:

Comfortably elegant and southern in every way! Well maintained and situated on 1.59 acre lot with private walk out backyard and open covered porches on both levels! Master on main with sitting room, aupair or office over garage, updated baths and freshly painted! Just a great family home!!

I went to Westside Yoga's "Yoga in the Park," and guess what happened?

Hi everyone,

Things have been busy over here at "This Photographer's Life," and I've brought in someone to help me, which has been awesome! Savannah Dean helps me find new blog content and manage the blog. This week she went to Westside Yoga's free class at Piedmont Park, which they do every month. It sounds like so much fun I think I'll join her for the next class! Take a look for yourself.

Designer Spotlight - Christina Cole Designs a High Contrast Industrial Loft for an Avid Art Collector

I legit think Elle Decor is NAILING it right now.  It's just like ALLLLLL the black accents, and I'm obsessed.  Speaking of... my love for the all black accents got me a commission! I'm working with the AMAZING Sherry Hart of Design Indulgence to create a custom piece for her room in the Atlanta Magazine Home's Pinewood Forrest showhouse this summer.  I've followed Sherry for years since we started our blogs around the same time, and I've always loved her style.  I finally met up with her in person to discuss the colors for the piece (neutral- duh), and we're like design soul mates, which is awesome.

Anyway, in looking for a home to feature today, I found Christina Cole's work on Elle Decor, and it stopped me in my tracks.  She designed this home for art collector Will Lansing, an industrial space with lots of black and white + art is LITERALLY as good as it gets IMO.  I really really love the contrast of the white oak floors against the dark walls.  Especially in the bedroom (painted Sherwin-Williams "Black Magic.")  These photos are taken by the wildly talented Alyssa Rosenheck, who is one of the very best in the the business right now.  You can find her work here and her instagram here.  She's such an inspiration, and if you're an avid follower, you may know her work for the Sean Anderson Post.  It's SO good.
