Recently the owner's held a dinner in their gardens that anyone would have been lucky to attend! Kim gives us the play by play...
The Oakton House and Gardens in historic Marietta recently hosted its semi-annual Dinner in the Garden event. Guests were swept away by the beauty and aroma of the springtime garden setting.
As guests arrived they were welcomed by Will and Michelle Goodman, the 5th generation owners of the Oakton estate, 1838 c.
After cocktails in the gardens, guests dined under candle light, tented setting adorned with fine china, silver and crystal. The chill in the air provided the perfect excuse for one last outdoor fire as the guests enjoyed the 5 course rustic Italian fare.
The menu featured products from two friulian superstars: a pinot grigio from Collio’s Livon, and a mostarda of azarole from LaSubida in Commons. Local producers included The Spotted Trotter, and The Oakton House & Gardens who supplied all the fresh vegetables, herbs and edible flowers.
The Oakton Estate is being marketed exclusively by Beacham & Company Realtors. Contact Kim Foley for more information or a private showing.
