Back in the heyday of this blog (2010), I wrote about my FAVORITE house in the city, a home renovated by Neel Reid in 1920. In fact, most people who still read the blog today began because they were interested in this home. I met so many wonderful people through that post... Margaret and Clary Bosbyshell, Duane Stone, and the owner of the home. When it was on the market (listed by Linda Williams of Beacham & Company) in 2010, we made a big deal that the the interiors were done by one of Atlanta's top and favorite designers, Margaux Interiors (Margaret Bosbyshell). The interiors were fresh and modern, and they still look amazing. I still love all the art, and the colors are so clean. (Original post)
...such a classic.
The person who bought the house actually found it on my blog while it was on the market. She reached out to me and we became friends. That was how I got to meet architect Duane Stone and got to see photos of the home before it was ever renovated. For a more complete history of the home, you can read this post. She also hired Margaret Bosbyshell and her daughter Clary to redesign the home. I went over to see it when they were finished, and it was so interesting to see the way the looked at the same space a different way.
During that redesign, the owner and Clary asked me to take some photos of a plane to hang in the library of the home, which was such an honor. That room was even featured in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles. Photo below. For more photos as well as the article in AH&L, click here.
This past spring when the owners wanted to sell the home, they reached out to Glennis Beacham with Beacham & Company.
I was so excited to photograph the home again! Here are a few of my favorite photos from the shoot.
Glennis Beacham got the house under contract almost as soon as it hit the market! As luck would have it, the new owners hired Clary Bosbyshell (follow her on Insta! She's amazing) to design the home once again. I cannot wait to see the finished product. Isn't is fantastic when things come full circle? :)
